{"id":11222,"date":"2020-08-16T22:21:54","date_gmt":"2020-08-16T22:21:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.funminews.com\/?p=11222"},"modified":"2020-08-16T22:21:54","modified_gmt":"2020-08-16T22:21:54","slug":"police-rescue-another-man-held-captive-by-father-for-15-years-in-kano","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.funminews.com\/index.php\/2020\/08\/16\/police-rescue-another-man-held-captive-by-father-for-15-years-in-kano\/","title":{"rendered":"Police Rescue Another Man Held Captive by Father for 15 Years in Kano"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The Kano State Police Command on Sunday said it has rescued another man allegedly held captive by his father for 15 years.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The incident occurred three days after a man was rescued from a cage where he was imprisoned by his father and stepmother for seven years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The police said the rescued man, Ibrahim Lawan, 35, had been confined to a room for 15 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His father, Mallam Lawan, is a Friday mosque Chief Imam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The police stated that the incident occurred at Sheka Unguwar Fulani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The victim was rescued by the Police Medical Team and operatives of Operation Puff Adder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The spokesman of the Kano State Police Command, Mr Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, confirmed the incident in Kano on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abdullahi, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, said the victim, Lawan, had since been moved to the hospital for medical attention, adding that investigation had been launched into the matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A 32-year-old Kano man, Aliyu, who was locked in a room by his father and stepmother for over seven years, had been rescued by the police last Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aliyu is a resident of Farawa Babban Layi in Mariri quarters of Kumbotso Local Government Area in Kano metropolis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Source: This Day<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Kano State Police Command on Sunday said it has rescued another man allegedly held captive by his father for 15 years.
