At the center of the trophy emerges a golden sphere patterned as a football, adorned with a gold map of Africa, reflecting the continent&#8217;s pride and global aspirations in the women&#8217;s game. The 2024 edition of WAFCON has seen its prize money more than doubled to $2.4 million, underscoring CAF&#8217;s commitment to investing in the growth of women&#8217;s football.<br><br><strong>Tournament Details<\/strong><br><br>The 2024 Women&#8217;s Africa Cup of Nations will take p<strong>lace in Morocco fr<\/strong>om July 5 to 26, featuring top contenders from across the continent. The tournament will open with hosts Morocco facing Zambia in Rabat. Nine-time champions Nigeria, defending champions South Africa, and other top teams will battle for continental supremacy.
