His resignation was contained in a letter dated August 18, 2025, and addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman of Arue Ward 3 in Uromi, Edo State.<br><br>In the letter, Anenih explained that the decision followed a period of deep personal reflection and would take effect immediately. He noted that although he had been committed to the PDP \u201cthrough its triumphs and trials,\u201d he had reached a point in his life where family obligations and other responsibilities demanded his undivided attention. \u201cThis decision was not made lightly,\u201d he wrote, emphasizing the weight of stepping back after years of active involvement in partisan politics.<br><br>The younger Anenih expressed gratitude for the experiences and friendships gained during his political journey within the PDP, acknowledging the opportunities the party had offered him to serve. However, he clarified that his withdrawal from partisan politics did not signify disengagement from national issues, but rather a redirection of his efforts toward civic discourse and policy advocacy aimed at improving governance and strengthening Nigeria\u2019s democratic institutions.<br><br>\u201cMy commitment to Nigeria\u2019s progress remains unshaken. I will continue to contribute to intellectual and civic conversations that seek to improve governance and, above all, the lives of the governed,\u201d he assured. He further pledged to champion principled debate and the exchange of ideas as tools to shape a better future for the country.<br><br>Concluding his letter, Anenih thanked PDP leaders and members for their support over the years, describing the journey as one filled with camaraderie and invaluable lessons.
