A Magistrate Court in Ikorodu, Lagos State, has issued a fresh ruling mandating two DNA tests to definitively establish the paternity of Liam Aloba, the only child of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad. The ruling, handed down on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 by Magistrate Adefisoye Sonuga, followed an application by Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, who is keen to verify the child\u2019s parentage.
The court specifically ordered that one DNA test be conducted at a recognized facility within Nigeria and another at an accredited hospital abroad. Both parties or their legal representatives must be present during the collection of samples.
