Portuguese soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has become the sport\u2019s first ever billionaire player following a contract he signed with Al Nassr earlier this year, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the former Real Madrid, Manchester United and Juventus star \u2013 now in the latter stages of his playing career \u2013 has always been one of the top earners in soccer, it\u2019s his current stint at Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr that has catapulted him onto the exclusive list of billionaire athletes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After moving to the Saudi Pro League in January 2023, he became the highest-paid player in the sport\u2019s history with an annual salary of\u00a0around $200 million<\/a>, according to Saudi state media <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And in June 2025, the 40-year-old signed a new two-year deal with the Saudi outfit, reportedly worth more than $400 million<\/a> in tax free earnings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That contract has boosted Ronaldo\u2019s net worth up to $1.4 billion, according to Bloomberg. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Portuguese superstar\u2019s earnings aren\u2019t the only stream of income that have skyrocketed his net worth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The five-time Ballon d\u2019Or<\/a> winner signed a decade-long Nike deal worth almost $18 million a year, as well as sponsorships with brands such as Armani and Castrol \u2013 adding over $175 million to his net worth, according to Bloomberg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ronaldo has also amassed a global real estate portfolio and invested in a number of businesses in multiple countries, including Portugal and Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
