ABUJA, Nigeria (FN)<\/strong> \u2014 Funeral arrangements have been announced for Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu, the late ARISE News anchor, correspondent, and producer who tragically lost her life during an armed robbery in Abuja on September 29. She will be laid to rest on Saturday, October 18, in her hometown of Agulu, Anambra State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maduagwu, 29, was a UK-trained lawyer and journalist known for her vibrant on-screen presence and incisive reporting. Her death shocked colleagues and viewers alike, prompting tributes from across Nigeria\u2019s media landscape. A security guard, Barnabas Danlami, also died in the attack at her residence in the Katampe area of Abuja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The funeral rites will begin with an \u201cEvening of Tributes\u201d on Sunday, October 12, at the THISDAY Dome in Abuja. A service of songs will follow on Wednesday, October 15, at Corpus Christi Cathedral on Kaduna Street, Port Harcourt.
