A senior official at the National Universities Commission (NUC), speaking anonymously, said the Commission is reviewing the matter and has requested documentation from the university. \u201cAny institution found to have violated admission protocols will face appropriate sanctions,\u201d the official said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The Federal Ministry of Education also weighed in, urging students to verify their admission status through official channels. \u201cWe are monitoring the situation closely and will act based on the findings of the NUC and JAMB,\u201d the ministry said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">JAMB confirmed that Omisade\u2019s name does not appear in its database for law students at Achievers University. \u201cWe advise all prospective students to confirm their admission status on our portal before proceeding with registration,\u201d a spokesperson said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The Nigerian Union of Students (NUS) issued a statement demanding accountability and compensation for the affected student. \u201cThis is not just about one student \u2014 it\u2019s about the integrity of our education system,\u201d the union said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Education rights activist Dr. Tunde Adebayo called the incident \u201ca wake-up call\u201d for regulatory oversight. \u201cStudents should not bear the brunt of institutional negligence,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Public reaction has been mixed, with some blaming the university for administrative lapses, while others urged caution until investigations are complete. Hashtags like #FakeAdmission and #StudentJustice have begun trending on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Omisade\u2019s legal team says they will proceed with litigation if the university fails to respond adequately within the stipulated timeframe.
