Details of the surgery were not disclosed.<br><br>In a statement released Saturday, Governor Sanwo-Olu said Adedeji\u2019s death was \u201ca tragic loss to the Lagos State Police Command and the people he served with courage and integrity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"250\" height=\"290\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.funminews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/sanwoolu8764362851779212034.jpg?resize=250%2C290\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22277\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Lagos State Governor, HE Babajide Sanwo-Olu<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCSP Adedeji was not just a fine officer; he was a dedicated public servant who gave his all to keep Lagos safe,\u201d Sanwo-Olu said. \u201cHis passing reminds us of the sacrifices made daily by those who stand between order and chaos.\u201d<br><br>The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Adegoke Fayoade, described Adedeji as \u201ca fearless, disciplined and compassionate leader\u201d whose absence would be deeply felt. \u201cHe led with humility and strength. His men trusted him because he led by example,\u201d Fayoade said.<br><br>Adedeji\u2019s colleagues at the station where he served said he was known for his fairness and professionalism. \u201cHe always encouraged us to put humanity first,\u201d said Inspector Sunday Adeola. \u201cHe treated both junior officers and citizens with respect.\u201d<br><br>Family members, struggling to come to terms with his death, described him as a devoted husband and father.
