ABUJA, Nigeria (FN) \u2014 President Bola Tinubu will adopt a cooperative and technology-driven approach to tackling Nigeria\u2019s security challenges, according to Senator Jimoh Ibrahim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking in Abuja, Ibrahim said the administration\u2019s strategy will emphasize inter-agency collaboration, regional partnerships, and the use of artificial intelligence to enhance surveillance and response capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe president is deploying artificial intelligence to track criminal activity and ensure real-time coordination between security agencies,\u201d Ibrahim said. \u201cThis is not just about increasing funding \u2014 it\u2019s about transforming how we secure the nation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The remarks come amid growing concern over insecurity in parts of Nigeria, including terrorism, banditry, and communal violence. Ibrahim, who chairs the Senate Committee on Inter-Parliamentary Affairs, said the N4.91 trillion allocated to defense and security in the 2025 budget reflects Tinubu\u2019s commitment to reform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The cooperative model will include joint operations between the military and police, community-level intelligence gathering, and cross-border coordination with neighboring countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
