KATSINA, Nigeria (FN)<\/strong> The Katsina State Police Command says it has foiled a banditry attack on communities in Dandume Local Government Area, arresting one suspected bandit and rescuing two injured residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a statement released Wednesday, the command reported that the incident occurred late Tuesday around 10:00 p.m. when heavily armed bandits invaded Unguwar Bido and Unguwar Kanawa villages. Police operatives responded swiftly, engaging the attackers and preventing further harm to residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rescued victims, who sustained injuries during the attack, were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities said the arrested suspect is currently in custody and undergoing interrogation, while efforts are ongoing to track down other fleeing members of the gang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
