Nollywood actor and lawmaker Desmond Elliot has raised concerns over alleged intimidation of his supporters during the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election, calling on party leaders to ensure a free and fair process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Elliot, who arrived at the Paddington Mini Stadium with his entourage, claimed that many of his supporters were denied access to the polling venue despite repeated appeals to electoral officers. His pleas, he said, were ignored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The situation led to a peaceful protest by his supporters, who eventually left the venue alongside the lawmaker. Elliot explained that he chose to leave to prevent any breakdown of law and order, stressing that he would not allow lives to be lost because of the election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The primary election was ultimately not held as tensions escalated over the alleged exclusion of party members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
