Social media influencer Gabriela \u201cGabbie\u201d Gonzalez and her father, Francisco Gonzalez, are facing criminal charges in connection with an alleged murder-for-hire scheme targeting her former partner, musician Jack Avery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities said Gabbie Gonzalez, 24, was booked into Los Angeles County jail on May 18 and is being held on S2 million bail. Francisco Gonzalez, 59, was arrested the same day in Seminole County, Florida, on a fugitive warrant from California charging him with conspiracy to commit murder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to court filings, investigators allege Gonzalez repeatedly expressed a desire to have Avery killed amid a contentious custody battle over their 7-year-old daughter, Lavender. Witnesses told detectives that Gonzalez discussed hiring a hitman and that her father provided financial support for the plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The affidavit states Francisco Gonzalez previously hired a private investigator to monitor Avery\u2019s activities, hoping to gather evidence that could be used against him in the custody dispute. Prosecutors allege that in April 2021, Francisco Gonzalez paid approximately S10,000 to alleged co-conspirator Kai Cordrey, with the funds converted into Bitcoin. An additional S4,000 was transferred in June 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cordrey told investigators that the payments were disguised as web-development invoices and that encrypted communications with Francisco Gonzalez used the codeword \u201cbullrun.\u201d At one point, Francisco Gonzalez allegedly spoke with an undercover agent posing as the hired killer, referencing the Bitcoin transfers and the planned staging of Avery\u2019s death as a car accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Detectives concluded that Francisco Gonzalez knowingly entered into an agreement with his daughter and Cordrey to carry out the killing, provided money to advance the plot, and communicated directly about its operational details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The case adds to a growing list of high-profile criminal proceedings involving social media personalities. Gonzalez, who built a following online through lifestyle and family content, has been embroiled in legal disputes with Avery since their breakup several years ago. Avery, 26, is a musician who rose to prominence as a member of the boy band Why Don\u2019t We.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
