He acknowledged the hardship faced by citizens due to inadequate electricity and directed the commission to submit its budget for approval within two weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLet me assure Akwa Ibom residents that government is working hard on measures to improve electricity supply across the State,\u201d Eno said. \u201cI urge you to be prepared to pay your electricity bills promptly to sustain the sector.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He commended the State House of Assembly for passing the Electricity Law, describing the appointments as a reflection of his administration\u2019s commitment to competence, excellence, and rapid economic growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Commission Chairperson Mrs. Arit Uya thanked the governor for his confidence in the team. \u201cWe accept this responsibility with humility, appreciation, and a deep sense of duty. Your Excellency, we have listened carefully to your charge, and we will work diligently to fulfill your expectations,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other members of the commission include Dr. Lalu Ukoha, Vice Chairman; Engr. Ubong Etukudoh, Engineering Commissioner; Dr. Valerie Obot, Finance and Corporate Support Commissioner; and Mr. Paul Okon, Economic Regulation Commissioner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The inauguration ceremony featured the signing of the Code of Conduct and Ethics by the commissioners and the presentation of their appointment letters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reactions quickly followed across social media and policy circles.
