She is seeking to replace Rep. Nancy Mace, who vacated the seat to run unsuccessfully for governor earlier this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lacore will face Mac Deford, a Coast Guard veteran and former Hilton Head Island general counsel, in the June 23 runoff.
