The conviction carries a maximum sentence of up to 10 years in prison for each count, with Combs facing a potential total of 20 years behind bars. The charges stemmed from allegations that he transported women, including his ex-girlfriends Cassie Ventura and another woman who testified under the pseudonym “Jane,” across state lines for prostitution.
Combs’ lawyers argued that the women were willing participants, and the jury ultimately acquitted him of the most serious charges, including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, which could have put him behind bars for life. The trial featured disturbing testimony from Combs’ former partners, who alleged physical and sexual abuse.
