Celebrity barman Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has explained his absence from Davido’s white wedding in Miami, Florida, citing long-standing US visa challenges. In an Instagram post, Cubana Chief Priest expressed mixed feelings, stating he was happy for the couple but sad about missing the event. He attributed his absence to errors made on his first visa application, which was filled out by someone else when he was younger, and has persisted in the US immigration system, causing repeated denials.

Cubana Chief Priest revealed that he has been denied access to America due to mistakes on his initial visa application. “Somebody filled out my form when I was much younger and was trying to get into America. Some mistakes were coming up during interviews. And I think they have it on their system. Anytime I came, it kept popping up,” he explained in a previous interview. Despite this, he remains hopeful and plans to reapply for a visa next week.

In his Instagram post, Cubana Chief Priest addressed the US Embassy in Nigeria, appealing for a visa approval. “#usinnigeria do it for me this time. You can clearly see how disappointed and hurt the world is to see me absent at my best friend’s wedding. You need to give me access to get my fat ass into America. Well, delay is never denial — CP is still hopeful,” he wrote. He also expressed gratitude to those criticizing him, saying it has given him multiple reasons to apply again.

Despite his absence, Cubana Chief Priest’s wife and family attended the wedding to represent him. “The largest part of me, which is my family, my beautiful, elegant, expensive, eloquent and sophisticated wife #_deangels, is there to share in this luxury blissful experience. So I’m there in body and spirit,” he wrote, wishing Davido and his wife an amazing wedlock.

Cubana Chief Priest concluded his post by stating he will reapply for a visa next week, expressing his desire to access the greatest country in the world. “This pain is really paining,” he admitted, showing his eagerness to resolve his visa issues and travel to the US.
