Jason Isaacs may know more than he is letting on about the future of HBO’s The White Lotus. The English actor, who captivated audiences in Season 3 as Timothy Ratliff — a wealthy financier whose downward spiral led from arrogance to drug-fueled chaos and ultimately a surprising spiritual awakening — recently revealed that creator Mike White has shared details about Season 4. But Isaacs stopped short of elaborating, telling CNN’s Elizabeth Wagmeister only, “Mike has told me things about Season 4.”

The tantalizing remark comes as fans eagerly speculate about the next destination and returning cast members in the Emmy-winning anthology series. Past seasons have seen familiar faces like Jennifer Coolidge, Natasha Rothwell, and Jon Gries reprise their roles, fueling hopes for more crossover appearances. Some viewers have even floated the idea of a spinoff centered on the Ratliff family, whose storylines in Season 3 ended with major cliffhangers, including Timothy’s looming legal troubles and the family’s sudden financial collapse.

Asked about the possibility of a Ratliff spinoff, Isaacs didn’t dismiss the idea outright but urged caution. “If the question is, am I open to a Ratliff family spinoff, the answer is absolutely,” he said. “But is Mike White gonna put aside the time and park White Lotus, one of the most successful TV shows in the world, and write us a spinoff? I find it unlikely. I wouldn’t put your money on it.”

Still, Isaacs couldn’t resist imagining what might be next for his character. “I think he’s going to prison, or he’s phoning his friend in the White House and getting a pardon, and doing charity work,” he joked, acknowledging the ambiguity in Timothy Ratliff’s unresolved arc. The fate of the Ratliffs remains one of Season 3’s lingering mysteries, keeping fans invested in the family’s dramatic saga.

Meanwhile, Isaacs is earning recognition for his performance, securing an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. He will compete against his White Lotus co-stars Walton Goggins and Sam Rockwell, as well as Severance standouts John Turturro, Tramell Tillman, and Zach Cherry, alongside James Marsden of Paradise. The White Lotus itself leads the pack with 23 Primetime Emmy nominations this year, solidifying its status as one of television’s most acclaimed series.
