China is not a major arms exporter, with a volume way below that sold by the US, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute.
While China is a major supplier of weapons to Pakistan, for example, it only accounted for 5.9% of global exports between 2020-2024, the institute’s latest report said.

Today’s parade was a good opportunity for China to showcase weapons it may be willing to sell to countries looking for providers other than traditional suppliers, Retired Australian Army Major General Mick Ryan told CNN’s Lynda Kinkade.
