Uyo, Nigeria – (FN) The family of Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai has announced the passing of the revered evangelist and founder of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association. He died peacefully on October 6, 2025, at the age of 80, following a lifetime of devoted service to Christian ministry and humanitarian outreach.

In a statement released Monday, the family described his passing as a “glorious transition” from a life of purpose to eternal rest. “He was a faithful soldier of the cross who devoted his life to spreading the gospel with passion and integrity,” the statement read. “His teachings, prophetic insights, and mentorship have left a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire believers for years to come.”
