ILE-IFE, Nigeria (FN) — Dignitaries from across Nigeria gathered in Osun State to celebrate the 70th birthday of Chief Akinwole Fasuyi, a respected business leader and community figure, in a ceremony that highlighted his decades of contribution to entrepreneurship and social development.
The event, held in Ile-Ife, drew top politicians, traditional rulers, and captains of industry, who paid tribute to Fasuyi’s leadership and philanthropy.
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, represented by his deputy, described Fasuyi as “a man of vision whose investments have inspired economic growth and empowered countless young Nigerians.”

Traditional leaders, including the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, praised Fasuyi for his enduring service to culture and community development, noting that his impact extended beyond Osun to Nigeria’s broader business landscape.
Family members, friends, and associates shared glowing tributes, recounting his journey from a young entrepreneur to one of the state’s most accomplished industrialists.
Fasuyi, who chairs several companies across real estate, manufacturing, and hospitality, expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love. “Reaching 70 is not just about age; it’s about purpose and impact,” he said in his remarks. “I thank God for the privilege to contribute to my community and my country.”
The ceremony featured musical performances, awards, and a fundraising segment in support of the Chief Akinwole Fasuyi Foundation, which focuses on youth empowerment and education.
