LAGOS, Nigeria (FN) — Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), will lead a global prayer session on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025, for singles, waiting mothers, and families seeking divine intervention. The event, themed “A Morning of Divine Visitation,” will be held at RCCG’s National Headquarters, The Throne of Grace, in Ebute-Metta, Lagos, beginning at 8 a.m.

The prayer session will be streamed live across RCCG’s social media platforms, allowing worshippers from over 190 countries to participate. According to RCCG, the initiative was divinely inspired to bring healing, comfort, and breakthroughs to those trusting God for marital settlement, fruitfulness, and new beginnings.

“This Thanksgiving Service promises to be a morning of divine encounters, restoration, and testimonies,” said Pastor Oladele Balogun, Special Assistant to the General Overseer (Administration). “Pastor Adeboye will minister under a special unction to break yokes, release joy, and usher participants into long-awaited answers to prayers.”

The announcement has sparked widespread reactions from worshippers, religious leaders, and government officials.

“This is timely and powerful,” said Esther Okonkwo, a 33-year-old single woman from Enugu. “I’ve been praying for a life partner for years. Knowing that Daddy G.O. is interceding for us gives me renewed hope.”

Chinedu Adebayo, a father of two and husband to a woman battling infertility, said, “We’ve tried everything medically. This prayer service is our last resort. We believe God will show up.”

The National Population Commission welcomed the initiative, noting that over 40% of Nigeria’s adult population consists of singles and matured singles aged 20 to 45. “This demographic often faces emotional and societal pressure. Faith-based support like this can be a source of strength,” said spokesperson Dr. Halima Yusuf.

The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs also praised the program. “Millions of women continue to seek the fruit of the womb. Pastor Adeboye’s intercession aligns with our advocacy for holistic support—spiritual, emotional, and medical,” said Minister Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye.

Even youth groups have voiced support. Samuel Olatunji, president of RCCG’s Youth Fellowship, said, “This is more than prayer—it’s a movement of faith. We’re mobilizing thousands of young people to attend and stream the service.”

To ease attendance, RCCG-branded buses will operate from major bus stops in Lagos starting at 6:30 a.m. First-time visitors will receive modest gifts and tokens of love.

Quoting Luke 1:37, Pastor Adeboye reaffirmed the theme of the event: “With God, nothing shall be impossible.”
