The Clear Lake Chamber Music Festival invites music lovers to an unforgettable evening of classical music, showcasing a remarkable lineup of talent led by acclaimed pianist Daniel Tselyakov. Joining him are special guest artists: cellist Ariel Carrabré and pianist Alexander Tselyakov, for a program that blends lyricism, virtuosity, and emotional depth.

The concert opens with Johannes Brahms’s Cello Sonata No. 1 in E minor, Op. 38, a cornerstone of the cello repertoire known for its rich textures and lyrical intensity. This will be followed by Maurice Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloé, a rarely performed solo piano showpiece that conjures orchestral brilliance through the keyboard alone. The evening concludes with a thrilling piano duo performance by Daniel and Alexander Tselyakov, a dynamic father-son collaboration celebrated for its passion, precision, and artistry.

About the Artists

Daniel Tselyakov brings a rare combination of poetic expression and dazzling technique to the stage. A laureate of several international piano competitions, he has performed extensively across North America and Europe, including prestigious venues like the Kennedy Center, Glenn Gould Studio, and Van Cliburn Concert Hall. He is also the Artistic Director of the Clear Lake Chamber Music Festival and a faculty member at Brandon University’s School of Music.

Ariel Carrabré, a Brandon-born cellist now based in Montreal, is a winner of the Eckhardt-Gramatté National Music Competition. His musical partnership with Daniel Tselyakov dates back to their youth, forming a deep and enduring artistic bond.

Alexander Tselyakov, internationally renowned concert pianist and professor at Brandon University, has performed with leading orchestras around the globe. His piano duo performances with his son Daniel are lauded for their musical insight and technical brilliance.
