ABUJA, Nigeria (AP) — Former Attorney General of the Federation Abubakar Malami has described the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a “formidable platform” capable of rescuing Nigeria and unseating the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking at a political gathering over the weekend, Malami praised the ADC’s organizational strength and growing appeal among Nigerians dissatisfied with current leadership. He argued that the party offers a credible alternative for citizens seeking reforms in governance, economic management, and national unity.
“The ADC is not just another opposition party,” Malami said. “It is a movement with the capacity to bring Nigerians together and deliver the change they desire.”
His remarks come as opposition parties intensify efforts to build coalitions ahead of upcoming elections. Analysts note that while the APC remains dominant, growing discontent over economic challenges and security concerns has created space for rival parties to push for broader support.
The ADC leadership has welcomed Malami’s endorsement, framing it as evidence of the party’s rising profile in Nigeria’s political landscape.
