Meghan Markle has opened up about her life with Prince Harry, offering rare glimpses into their relationship and family moments in her latest show. Reflecting on the couple’s early days, she recalled their memorable trip to Botswana, where they camped together for five days. “You really get to know somebody when you’re in a little tent together,” she said, sharing how they navigated nighttime sounds of elephants outside. Meghan also revealed that Harry was the first to say “I love you,” a detail she recounted with a smile.
The Duchess of Sussex, who married Prince Harry in 2018, shared lighthearted anecdotes about their life together. In one episode, she told chef José Andrés that her husband does not like lobster, a confession met with playful disbelief. The couple, now settled in Montecito, California, live with their two children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4. Meghan described Archie as “the most tender, sweet, adorable child of all time” and said her daughter loves pink. She added that motherhood has been more rewarding than she ever imagined.
Meghan also reflected on her own childhood, recalling how she once used her allowance to buy a real diaper bag to care for her doll, a sign of her early longing to become a mother. “I always wanted to be a mom. I love it. It’s better than I even expected,” she said. On the show, she was also seen making aprons for her children, underscoring her hands-on approach to parenting.
The Duchess shared moments of nostalgia about her past, including her acting career and life in the UK. She admitted that one of the things she misses most about Britain is listening to the radio station “Magic.” Looking back on her audition days, Meghan revealed she would treat herself to a McDonald’s apple pie when she performed well. She also remembered feeling so nervous that she developed blotches on her chest, prompting her to audition in turtlenecks to hide it.
Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, Meghan and Harry have carved out a new life in the United States. Their move has allowed them to focus on family, charitable work, and creative projects, while occasionally sharing personal insights that give the public a glimpse into their lives away from the royal spotlight.
