Nigerian music sensation, Tiwa Savage, has opened up about the challenges and fulfillment that come with balancing her career as a globally celebrated artist and her responsibilities as a mother. The award-winning singer, who is currently on tour promoting her latest projects, shared heartfelt reflections on how she manages the demands of stardom while raising her son, Jamil Balogun, popularly known as Jam Jam.

The revelation came after a fan on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) asked the singer how she successfully combines her hectic schedule of performances, studio recordings, and international travels with spending quality time with her son. In response, Tiwa admitted that being away from Jamil is one of the hardest parts of her career but praised her son for his remarkable maturity and understanding at such a young age.

According to her, Jamil has shown immense support despite her demanding schedule. “My baby is the sweetest boy on earth, he totally understands mommy has to work. Being away from him hurts me so much, but my lil man is so understanding. And when we get to spend time together, we live life to the fullest. We’re currently in Tokyo, Japan having the time of our lives,” Tiwa wrote.

The “Somebody’s Son” crooner emphasized that her son’s encouragement keeps her motivated to give her best both as a mother and an artist. She noted that motherhood has shaped her perspective on life and deepened her commitment to setting a positive example for Jamil while pursuing her passion for music.

Fans have since flooded social media with praises, describing Tiwa as a “supermom” who embodies strength, resilience, and dedication. Many hailed her ability to strike a balance between raising her son and maintaining her position as one of Africa’s most influential music icons.
