In a heartfelt public message, Nigerian reality star Phyna has extended an apology to social critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) following a growing controversy over her sister Ruth’s tragic accident involving a Dangote truck. The apology came after VDM criticized Phyna for allegedly abandoning a planned legal meeting—one he had helped arrange—to pursue the case with her own lawyer instead.
VDM had recounted how he rallied support for Phyna by coordinating discussions with representatives from Dangote and legal counsel in an effort to deliver justice for Ruth, who lost a leg in the accident. A follow-up meeting was scheduled with himself and a lawyer, but Phyna reportedly pulled out at the last minute. Dangote’s team allegedly expressed fear of VDM’s involvement, prompting Phyna’s withdrawal.
Feeling betrayed, VDM warned Phyna to be cautious, voicing suspicion of foul play. He also issued a stern message to Dangote: unless Ruth receives proper care, all operations tied to the conglomerate in Edo State could be affected. In response to his accusations, Phyna took to social media on August 28, 2025, and delivered a sincere apology:
“Please, bro… I’m really sorry. I need you in this case.” She further added that if she had caused offense, it was from the bottom of her heart, and that any distractions would be removed to focus squarely on securing justice for her sister.
The exchange underscores heightened tensions surrounding Ruth’s medical crisis and the involvement of Dangote’s representatives. Phyna’s emotional outreach suggests a desire to mend ties and present a united front in navigating the complex legal and public challenges ahead.
