PORT HARCOURT (FN) — The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has postponed the computer-Based Test (CBT) for candidates applying to its Nigeria–Russia postgraduate scholarship program.

The test, originally scheduled for this week, was delayed due to what officials described as “logistical adjustments.” The commission said a new date will be communicated to applicants soon.

The NDDC scholarship scheme is designed to provide opportunities for Niger Delta students to pursue advanced degrees abroad, particularly in science, engineering, and technology fields. The Russia program is one of its flagship initiatives, aimed at building technical expertise that can be applied to regional development.

Applicants expressed mixed reactions to the postponement. Some welcomed the delay as extra preparation time, while others voiced frustration over uncertainty and travel arrangements.

The commission urged candidates to remain patient and assured them that the test will be rescheduled promptly to ensure fairness and transparency in the selection process.
